CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. – Due to concerns relating to COVID-19, Full line furniture resource Acme Furniture said it will not open its showroom for the Aug. 30-Sept. 3 Las Vegas Market.
Instead, the company plans a virtual showroom tour experience that will showcase all categories including bedroom, dining room, occasional, home office, upholstery, youth furniture and accent furniture.
The company said dealers also can request access to the company’s revamped website, www.acmecorp.com, which also showcases product by category including outdoor furniture and lighting. The site also provides a dealer locator and access to its catalog and contact information and locations of each of its warehouses in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, New Jersey, Dallas, Atlanta and Miami.
The company said that it will provide additional details of its virtual showroom tours in the coming weeks.
I’m Tom Russell and have worked at Furniture/Today since August 2003. Since then, I have covered the international side of the business from a logistics and sourcing standpoint. Since then, I also have visited several furniture trade shows and manufacturing plants in Asia, which has helped me gain perspective about the industry in that part of the world. As I continue covering the import side of the business, I look forward to building on that knowledge base through conversations with industry officials and future overseas plant tours. From time to time, I will file news and other industry perspectives online and, as always, welcome your response to these Web postings.
