NEW YORK – Bedding veteran Bryan Umiker has joined Casper as vice president of wholesale.
He will oversee Casper’s North American wholesale business, responsible for developing and bringing on new partners, increasing distribution and geographic expansion in the U.S. and Canada, and strategically building and sustaining long-term retail partnerships to broaden Casper’s customer base, the company said.
Most recently Umiker was the chief merchandising officer for Sheex Inc., a performance fabric bedding company. Prior to that, he held a variety of merchandising roles at Bloomingdale’s, Nebraska Furniture Mart and Bed, Bath & Beyond.
The news follows Casper’s recent partnerships with five well-known retailers: Macy’s, Sam’s Club, Ashley HomeStore, Denver Mattress, and Mathis Brothers. Casper now has partnerships with 22 retailers across North America.
