Global Systems Group, the machinery division of Carthage, Missouri-based Leggett & Platt Inc., rebuilt its website, GSGcompanies.com, from the ground up. The new site has a modern look, simpler navigation and clarified messaging.
Within the new site, it’s easier for users to find specific products. GSG is a collection of brands, each with its own array of products. The new site uses convenient mega-menus to allow for quick navigation directly to the page the user needs.
Product information – such as features and specifications – is presented in a uniform manner throughout. A handy new search box enables comprehensive searching of the site’s database of hundreds of pieces of equipment and product features.
The new website is more responsive and better optimized for great performance on any device – desktop, tablet or mobile phone, said Paul Block, GSG president of sales. “The visual aesthetics are more inviting than the old version and due to videos taking on an increased role in the sales process, access to product videos has been improved.”
“Overall, the GSG website underwent a redesign to allow it to be more adaptable to today’s times,” Block said. “For example, (it) makes the integration of social media infinitely easier and the GSG blog has been brought onto the main page as well. The blog will post informative industry and equipment articles as well as trade show updates and best practices posts. Articles such as ‘A Practical Guide to Automation in the Mattress Factory’ will help producers expand their knowledge or reference base.”
Via a customer service tab, users can access help with technical service or parts ordering. The tab connects to the separate GSG spare parts website where customers also can click through to the Gribetz patterns website and its large collection of quilting patterns.
Several new machines are introduced in the new site. These include the VFM4516 Variable Flange Machine, a walking-foot flanger that switches from thin to thick goods; the Ultra HC401 Ultra Heavy Capping Machine that makes “half-caps” for one-sided beds; the ROA400RS Roll Pack Coil Spring Opener, for better-controlled unwrapping of spring units; and the PS140U Automatic Unit Stacker/Unstacker, which allows for the automated transfer of components and finished products.
