HOUSTON — Ashley HomeStore is partnering with the Houston Furniture Bank to provide bedding to Houston-area children in need.
Through Dec. 17, shoppers can visit any of the 12 Houston-area Ashley HomeStores where for $25 they can purchase a bed-in-a-bag set benefiting the Houston Furniture Bank’s “No Kids on the Floor” initiative.
Each bed-in-a-bag includes a new fitted sheet, top sheet, comforter and two pillows. Shoppers can add the $25 to their in-store purchase or they can make their contribution with no purchase necessary. Shoppers also can donate new bedding in lieu of a purchase.
As part of its partnership with the Houston Furniture Bank, Ashley HomeStore also is covering the costs of picking up gently used furnishings designated for the Houston Furniture Bank upon the delivery of new merchandise to a customer.
“With our Houston-area stores and supportive customers, we can make a difference in the lives of countless families,” said Chad Spencer, CEO of local Ashley HomeStore licensee Dufresne Spencer Group.
Earlier this year, Ashley HomeStore donated more than 300 discontinued, never-used items to the Houston Furniture Bank’s new distribution center and furniture outlets in The Woodlands and its facility southeast of downtown Houston.
The Houston Furniture Bank works with more than 45 social service partner agencies to provide essential furniture to families in need.
