MONTREAL, Quebec – Little Seeds Kids, a home furnishings division of Dorel Inds., has received the 2020 Product of the Year Award from Baby Maternity Magazine for its Ivy metal crib.
Annual submissions for the award are reviewed by expectant mothers, new moms and other caregivers across the U.S. They are asked to judge each item based on its price, quality, design and functionality.
The Ivy metal crib, part of the Monarch Hill collection, was awarded based on its quality and design features, which include an arched metal frame and decorative ball castings. The crib, which retails at $279, also can adjust to three different heights to accommodate each stage of growth.
The crib that was submitted was shown in a gold finish, but it also is available in gray, white and black. Other pieces in the collection include changing tables and toddler beds.
I’m Tom Russell and have worked at Furniture/Today since August 2003. Since then, I have covered the international side of the business from a logistics and sourcing standpoint. Since then, I also have visited several furniture trade shows and manufacturing plants in Asia, which has helped me gain perspective about the industry in that part of the world. As I continue covering the import side of the business, I look forward to building on that knowledge base through conversations with industry officials and future overseas plant tours. From time to time, I will file news and other industry perspectives online and, as always, welcome your response to these Web postings.
