SANTA MONICA, Calif. – Online made-to-order art marketplace Society6 announced earlier this week that this year’s July Fourth sale results were the strongest in the brand’s history.
Overall, the e-commerce retailer of furniture, accessories and art saw a more than 150% average daily gross transaction value growth compared with last year’s July Fourth campaign, in turn generating more than $5 million GTV for the company.
“Our revamped merchandising strategy and new mobile optimizations for checkout were keys to the huge success of our July Fourth holiday campaign,” said Julie Matrat, general manager for Society6. “Our customers come to Society6 for beautifully designed, high-quality wall art, home decor, tech and lifestyle items. These improvements make it easier for them to find what they love. Our team remains dedicated to creating optimal experiences for our more than 400,000 artists and rapidly growing customer community.”
Top selling products over the holiday included art prints, framed art prints and throw pillows. Face masks, launched in late June, continued to perform well throughout the holiday weekend, too.
Society6 is an art-driven marketplace that sells more than 6 million unique designs from more than 400,000 artists on 70 furniture, home decor, accessories, art and apparel pieces that are all made-to-order. Artists who are part of Society6’s site earn commission off of each item purchased with their design.
