HIGH POINT – Spectra Home Furniture is set to add three new collections this fall.
Those include Christina Home Designs, Christina Anstead’s new upholstery and occasional table collection; the Spectra USA upholstery program of domestically made, customizable seating options; and Spectra Leather, offering ready to ship top-grain leather stationary upholstery.
All three new collections can be viewed by appointment in the Spectra Home High Point Showroom, 200 North Hamilton St., at next week’s Premarket.
Home design expert and star of HGTV’s Flip or Flop and Christina on the Coast, Christina Anstead’s new Spectra Home collection of upholstery and accent pieces is taking a fresh, modern, California casual vibe. The initial introduction comprises more than 35 pieces, including sofas, sectionals, fully upholstered chairs, and accent chairs, some with swivel mechanisms, many are covered in performance fabrics.
Complementary accent and occasional pieces range from wood and metal side and cocktail tables to etagéres. The collection will be available to consumers through interior designers and retail stores before the end of the year.
The new Spectra Home Spectra USA upholstery program is designed for retailers, interior designers and home stagers who need comfortable, high-quality upholstery quickly but who also want to select the fabric for their own customized look. Customers can select from about 40 casual and transitional sofas, chairs and ottomans, in an array of designer and performance fabrics, all hand-built in North Carolina. The upholstery is crafted with blend-down seating to provide the ultimate in comfort. All sofas include throw pillows covered in the same or contrasting sofa fabrics. Order-to-shipping time is approximately four to six weeks.
Buyers will also see Spectra Leather, a dedicated leather gallery featuring stationary sofas and accent chairs, many of which are stocked and ready to ship from the company’s High Point warehouse in 48 hours. The high-quality seating includes top-grain aniline-dyed leathers, eight-way hand-tied construction, engineered hardwood frames and down-filled seat cushions and backs.
In addition to hosting buyers in person at Premarket by appointment, virtual Zoom tours can be arranged through the retailer’s sales rep or contacting National Sales Manager Dennis Pressley here.
I’m Powell Slaughter, senior editor at Furniture/Today. I returned to the publication in January 2015 after nine years of writing about furniture retail strategies and best practices at a monthly magazine focusing on home furnishings retail operations. Prior to that, I spent 10 years with F/T covering wood furniture, the last five of those as case goods editor. Upon my return to F/T, I developed coverage of the logistical and service aspects of the furniture industry as well as following the occasional, home office and home entertainment categories. In April 2018 I took over the upholstery category, with responsibility for coverage of the fabric and leather stationary and motion upholstery, recliners and massage chair categories.
