MT. ARLINGTON, N.J. – The latest software update from Storis, a provider of retail solutions and services to the home furnishings industry, includes many new features focused on increasing efficiency.
The 10.4 update offers logistical enhancements such as alternate stock locations, allowing the store and the warehouse to be set as secondary fulfillment options if the primary location doesn’t have inventory available.
Other new features include:
- New pickup and return location lists to allow retailers to restrict their location list by fulfillment type for each employee.
- Automatic adjustment of the stocking location of a product after the fulfillment location changes.
- Manifests can now be sent via electronic data interchange (EDI) to trigger the automatic barcode labels and can include instructions about how to correctly handle each product.
- Dock scheduling to provide the retailer with a precise date to accurately schedule deliveries.
Storis’ new streamlined fulfillment page puts order comments and delivery instructions front and center, with a goal of prompting sales associates to clarify delivery instructions to help the warehouse team, the company said.
