BOSTON – Wayfair’s annual selling event known as Way Day will kick off on Wednesday, Sept. 23, at 12 a.m. EST, and will run for two full days through Sept. 24.
Earlier this year, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Wayfair decided to postpone its annual Way Day celebration, usually held in April, to a later date. Instead, the company held a special promotional event during its second quarter and donated a portion of the proceeds to benefit the broader community.
“Now more than ever, comfort at home is top of mind for our customers, and with the launch of Way Day next week, we are excited to offer even more exceptional value on the items that help our customers create the homes they love,” said Steve Oblak, chief merchandising officer for Wayfair.
Oblak said the company has partnered with thousands of suppliers to source the best possible pricing so it can offer 48 hours of flash deals for every room in the home across all styles and budgets.
Way Day spans items across sites including Wayfair, AllModern, Joss & Main and Birch Lane, and shoppers are offered free shipping and up to 80% off best-selling products from all major categories. Way Day prices will be available across more than 200,000 products.
In addition, starting today, customers can sign up for alerts for thousands of limited-time flash deals so they are in-the-know before the event officially begins.
Way Day for Wayfair follows the pattern of Amazon’s Prime Day and Alibaba’s Singles Day, both of which have become major sales events for the companies.
