SAN FRANCISCO – Williams-Sonoma Inc. is making some in-store changes to focus on the health and safety of its customers and associates during the upcoming holiday season.
“We know how important the holidays are to our customers,” said Laura Alber, Williams-Sonoma president and CEO. “It is a time to connect and celebrate with loved ones, especially in a year that has been challenging like no other. We are adapting to our customers’ evolving needs and focusing on helping them to enjoy their time at home this holiday season.”
The retailer will have a dedicated online order pickup line outside each store so associates can assist customers more quickly. This is in addition to the contactless curbside pickup already offered.
Customers will also be able to use waiting list apps so they can check in and reserve their spot in line, which allows them to leave and return when they have virtually reached the front of the line. Check out registers will be positioned in the front of the store, rather than the center of the store, to allow for more fast and efficient checkout. And, the company is also offering order pickup at all UPS access point locations.
Private shopping appointments outside of normal store hours will be offered to customers who may be health compromised, and more associates will be assigned to taking orders over the phone at each store.
The Williams-Sonoma brand includes Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, West Elm, Rejuvenation, and Mark and Graham.
